Special fire protection purpose developments (SFPP)

The nature of a SFPP development means that the occupants of the building may be more vulnerable to bushfire attack and may require extra consideration.

These include, but are not limited to schools, child care centers, hospitals, retirements villages and hotels. SFPP developments require approval from the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS).

Approval can be achieved by way of a bushfire risk assessment that demonstrates how the development satisfies the aims and objectives required by the relevant legislation and the NSW RFS.

We are recognized by the NSW RFS to provide such a report that can form part of the development application for submission to the relevant consent authority (usually the relevant council).
